Collection 1 teaser

This was made for my speculative fashion breand Dreamscape Corp. It took me roughly 6 weeks, and I started really strong. As soon as I had the idea I started setting scenes up in Cinema 4D and I had a lot of major progress.

Most of the work was front loaded, so after the 3 week mark, it was mostly finessing the transitions between shots, and re-rendering a handful of scenes using RedShift. There was a lot of work done in After Effects as well, I used a lot of video filters and effects in the Red Giant Suite to create a retro look that fit well with the brand identity that I was trying to set up.

Design Mockups

By using a product mockup website, I took the designs I made for the first collection of graphics that would be pushed for the brand. Which makes for a less mysterious look into what the collection will be.

Final Poster Shots

Process:

Original Storyboard

Unfortunately, I did end up dropping the human brain shot, and the underwater shot, but the final renders ended up leading the shot order in the end.

Style Frames

Test Animation

I started off this with the styleframes and moved forward with animating each of them. I actually was such a big fan of the way a lot of them looked so I only ended up changing these two!

If I had more time…
  • I would have adjusted some of the shots with some more glow.

  • Some of the scenes still were rendered in the physical rendere, I think they would have looked a little better if rendered with RedShift.
