For this project the prompt was to create a title sequence for something that does not exist. I decided to choose the Sci-Fi series I have been wanting to make for a long time, so I made my storyboard and concept based on the iconography that would be featured in the series.
I spent most of the time for this project learning Redshift in Cinema4D, I learned a lot of compositing skills in After Effects and how to use the Particular engine in AE.

Though omitting some of the shots due to time, this set the tone for the title sequence overall. I wanted it to feel grand, while also feeling moody at the same time.

For these, I took the style frames I made and animated roughly what the movement would look like. I was still getting used to how to light scenes in redshift, which made them very high contrast. So I knew there was still plenty of work to be done.

For the planet texture, I was originally using a default non-Redshift texture built into the asset browser, but it didn't have the feel I was looking for.

So I decided to start learning how nodes work in Redshift textures, with help from my friend and colleague Alances Vargas, who showed me how to do some basic node based texture work.

Based on the test animation, there was a lot I needed to change about this shot to create the sense of speed I was looking for.

Originally, I was compositing the stars in After Effects, but to get the motion blur I had to bake them in using a particle emitter and motion blur on the Redshift camera.
